Painting this realistic watercolor illustration of the chestnut involved a lot of research on my side. I was targeting to paint three stages of the nut in watercolour: first, the nut just picked up from the tree in its fuzzy fur coat, second, the shiny gorgeous nut, the image that we are all so familiar, and then, then; third stage would be a shelled nut, with all its delicious glory.
The rule of three, three watercolor stages of nut painted with watercolor in realistic manner, complemented future packaging design.
It was truly interesting work for me as an illustrator as it allowed me to use my favorite medium, the watercolor, in my favorite technique, realism.

Another realistic watercolor illustration of burger is soon going to be on the packaging design of my clients:
It was fun to paint watercolour tomatoes, salad leaves, avocado dip, purple onions and soy paddies; but, the most I loved painting watercolor realistically delicious sesame seeds on the top of the watercolour buns.
