With Winter slowly but surely invading the land I felt like adding some cool colors to my recent creations.

The abstract Winter Forest was born.

Even though, the area I currently live in doesn’t have snow; yet, the  below freezing temperature did push me to paint in white, blue, teal, and deep ultramarine colors.

When adding the digital image into an interior design photos, I was amazed how sweet this Winter Forest looked not only in the bedroom decor, but as well in the dining room area:

I was very pleased to see the living room interior addition as well.

The same abstract Forest definitely highlighted the cool decor of the living room adding some tint of blue and hint of Winter presence:

The Smallest Lilac in The World

blue, bouquet, childhood memories, e, lilac, lilac painting, miniature paintings, purple, Still Life, white

Hm… maybe it is not THE smallest but it is surely the smallest Lilac Bouquet I’ve ever painted. This painting is the part of my art project where I work with the memories from my childhood. The assignment was about a some kind of shelter where you as a kid felt yourself safe and protected. I decided to build a model of my Grandma’s Porch and covered Veranda. A lot of good family memories are there. The painting you see will be a part of the interior. I will make a tiny teeny frame for it and place it on a wall.

Have you ever tried to paint or make something from your childhood by just using your memory?

This cute guy lives in our Cul-de-sac. He has quite a few brothers in the house. One day when I prepared the sketchbook photo references he was out and he was my first model that morning. I promised myself that I’ve paint full size painting one day. And here we go few month later the dream came true. You can see sketch 6×4 on the bottom and 8″x10″ painting that I’ve finished today. The challenge was (as it is probably for a lot of artists) to paint dogs hair. The teeny tiny ones that were covering his eyes, but that I really wanted to paint in order to keep the character in place.
