Summer is in its bloom and it seems that whole America is on the move; either for holidays, or for better place to live. Everywhere I drive these days I see the signs Open House, OPEN house, OPEN HOUSE! And with open house there are few great ideas coming to one’s mind about interior decor.

Above, a simple office with no window is transformed into a welcoming bright creation space with the Summer Garden,  my painting In The Garden

The living room decorative interior has organic touch with these Cherry Blossom branches with the deep sunrise on the back:

Incredibly well done to fit the warm environment is a triptych of an abstract work of mine in beige. It is provided by one of my partners Pictorem and has free shipping on most of the art pieces from my gallery:

Another idea for home interior decor in warm tones is Abstract Map Of The World, and Abstract Forest. The living rooms with these artworks are truly coming to life with those art pieces on the walls:

And it will be not fair to omit the realistic pieces for bedroom interior decor. The fresh, impressionistic painting Vintage Storm adds some peaceful drama with its organic natural brush strokes vs geometrical contemporary lines of the room decor (though I personally would change the frame to a black one with white mat, if I could, just my advice) :

Another great marriage of Classical Art and Nowadays Interior is this piece, The Tulip Garden. This painting I made after traveling to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. They have vintage Holland style Tulip Garden set up each spring next to a real windmill from Holland that was given to the city:

Kids’ corner will come more vivid and bright with the Rainbow World Map. It is also quite educational for children to see the whole wide world in front of them and dream of the future travels, languages, new good friends, the oneness of us all. The learning process doesn’t have to be necessarily “framed” but it certainly can be COLORFUL 🙂

Another incredible possibility of home interior decor with watercolor paintings is to spread the artwork on wall from side to side in the form of a decal. Only one partner of mine is offering so far this kind of service, and I am so glad they do.

And the last but not least a beautiful Collection Of Butterflies in watercolor for the home office interior decor. No butterflies were hurt in the process:

Morning Glory Circle And Art Collectors Masterpieces

My studio is now full of creative projects that directly correlate with a new Botanical Flowers Coloring Book, Volume II.

As soon as I finished painting Morning Glory flowers for the book, my imagination nagged me to create a home decor design for the interior.
The results are above. I called this piece a Morning Glory Circle. This artwork is a flow of Morning Glory flowers forming into a beautiful wreath with its gorgeous blues and gentle greens.

Meantime my Art Collectors are sending the results of their work on the Botanical Flowers coloring book volume I. I am so pleased to see the diversity in my dear followers approach:

I have a blast seeing my artwork in an interior decor settings. This time I want to present how simple and really great different artwork style can decorate an interior of a dining room to either complement or highlight the spirit of the dining room area.

These flowing abstract paintings that I created practically in one day, add a cool sense and ply so well with the blue of the table settings:

I love how these mysterious lines like a waterfall of blue, turquoise and purple hues bring to the interior of the dining room so much fluid beauty:

interior design and decor for wall
As my clients and friends are asking what I am working on these days, I will allow a sneak peek into my virtual artist studio. And, with that said, I am happy to introduce a new collection of Decorative Flowers. My idea is to place a super realistic watercolor flowers on the abstract surface.

I have created unique earthy designs for the background using watercolor dabbing technique with different natural sponges and variety of colors.
It allows to make the background sections “to melt” into each other, giving some point of interest; but, meantime, it does not distract from realistic floral paintings.

This series could be called Botanical; yet, the interesting background makes it exclusive in some sense.
These decorative flowers bunch unites the body of work into a community of color, idea, technique, and style.

It is Botanical yet is is also Semi-Botanical
It is Realistic yet it is also Semi-Realistic
It is Abstract yet it is also Semi-Abstract

interior design for home and office space
I share here the first three out of a half dozen designs that have been created already. And, as always, more flowers soon will be posted into the Floral Gallery and Decor Interior Design Gallery on my website www.artirina.com

How Art Sold A House

abstract, acrylic, artworks to decorate house, decor, design, home, Home Decor, house for sale, impressionism, oil, realism, sold house, wall art, Watercolor
realism in watercolor
This Summer was quite busy for me. Besides two art shows in two different states (Colorado and New York), and exhibiting locally here in California; my family moved to a new house. And we wanted to sell our old house. So, I switched my hats from the artist to a decorator and designer for a while.
As I had some originals available and a few prints made from my past work, it was easy. The framing process has begun; and the Pink Rose In The Garden (above photo reference) was proudly placed in the living room hallway.

A few canvas prints with Petals-Petals series were “taking a bath” in the master bedroom upstairs..

My Sorrento Lemons (a copy of the sold artwork) was highlighting dining room area with it’s contrast of yellow and purple-blue:

An expressive Abstract Floral artwork (in acrylic) was a centerpiece of a living room. It combined all the colors and patterns of the surrounding decor, yet did not take too much space that the viewers would get distracted:

home decor art
My studio had to be transformed into a dean. The artist’s furniture went to a new house; and, only a few things such Still Life With Sunflowers and a chair were placed in that room:

realism in watercolor
But not only my art was decorating the house walls waiting for it to be sold. As an artist that appreciates other artists art very much, I had Maria Batkova, Vera Lysenko and another local artist’s artworks and designs throughout the house. They fit just right to complement the staged house prepared for sale:

sold house
Needless to say, as soon as we opened our decorated house for viewers to come; the house was sold in just three showing days (plus the escrow period, of course). And I am absolutely sure the art, even on subconscious level, played a big role in the buyers decision.

Sold in three showing days?!
 Unbelievable, but true!
