Spring Fall Summer Winter Bicycles watercolor silhouettes

The Spring is right behind the corner and I had an excellent idea to combine my new Bicycles creations that reflect each season into one Four Seasons painting design. This festive design has symbolism of each season: flowers, leaves, snow, blossoms; and, meantime it is all united with the Bicycle theme, which is for me personally became a symbol of youth, movement, and great outdoor times.

The Winter Bicycle is full of cold colors of all shades of blue. This is a symbol of being able to overcome some hard times in life by dreaming of movement and a future enjoyment of the life:

The Spring Bicycle painting shows Cherry Blossoms all around it, yet the echo of the Winter season is still trying to steal the show. The cool of overall painting has a new season promises, a great beginning of a new Life:

The Summer Bicycle is filled with the field of Poppy Flowers. As the beginning of a warm enjoyable season, these flowers greet us with invitation for a nice ride outside:

And my probably the most favorite design with bicycle today, is a Fall Bicycle. I feel that in the orange colors, the color of the Sun and Autumn Leaves there is so much energy being exposed, so much great warm enthusiasm, yet the symbolism of this season is such that we need to enjoy each day of our life while knowing that the Winter is inevitable:

I am used to see my art on the wall of art collectors. But I was curious how the Fall Art would look like on clothes items. How the fall leaves, for example, would fit into the wardrobe.

The artwork Autumn Flow looks great not only on the wall as a framed art; but, as well as the scarf or top or even a dress:

Another artwork that I’ve created as a fall pattern, contains deeper solid colors of the great season:

It does look cute on the skirt, short sleeve top design, and a dress:

Three Fallen Leaves – Autumn Trio

I am welcoming Fall with a new composition that is created with my watercolor leaves painted in realistic technique.
And even though in California the season is not as pronounced now as it is on East Coast or Mid West; it is still so nice to see some trees turning colors and bringing so much joy to the artist’s eye.
In these three paintings of Autumn leaves I tried to capture not only the beauty of the leaves themselves; but, as well as the sunshine that allowed the gorgeous shadows to make the paintings more interesting and alive.

After saying a nice Farewell to the Summer, I thought it will be appropriate to greet the new season and welcome Fall.

In this abstract design I “quilted” in a hundred squares from the dozens of my Autumn theme watercolor paintings.

I can imagine how these squares might bring the light into the interior filling a room with the cold air, yet flaming warm colors; and, celebrating this gorgeous festive season:

Bringing Fall To Central Valley

Trees Red Yellow Autumn watercolor
I prepared this Impressionistic style painting of the Fall landscape for one watercolor lesson that I performed last Friday.

The school is located in Central Valley, California (in Kings County), where Fall is coming either late or never. Oh no, of course, they will get a few yellow and red leaves closer to November-December. But now, all trees are green, farmers are finishing harvest, and the only indications of Fall are pumpkins in the grocery stores.

At the lesson, there were 36 students from grade 2 to 6. All of them were thrilled to try wet-on-wet technique and could not believe they can paint a Fall Landscape within an hour.. But we not only accomplished this, we even had a few minutes for a Pumpkin card project using an illustrative technique.

Everyone had fun, even a couple of teachers asked to give them a brush and started painting :0)

I jumped into a pile of raked Fallen Leaves. They flew up to the air covering the Sun for a moment. A sweet, musky smell mixed up with the fresh cold air. The colors were Burgundy, Gold Yellow, and Sap Green. And I was a few decades younger…
These childhood memories were brought by the painting Autumn Dance when I loosen myself up letting the paint dictate a composition; and, the wet watercolors to imply where I should paint the leaves.

Plein-Air painting day turned out to be a very nice and warm one. Besides the temperature 70 plus, the skies were blue and clear; and, a gentle breeze protected us from the heat. Briones Park is hidden between Martinez hills. Just a few minutes drive from my home and we were introduced to a wild nature, small cute farms with stables where horses were grazing on the dry grass waiting for a nice ride.
CWA group of artists did their very best to capture the beginning of California Fall:

I was always wondering how it is to be a commercial artist.
Last week I finished an original art piece with Fall Leaves and combined four images together in some sort of Fall Kaleidoscope   . It was certainly fun and completely changed the composition of the original art.
Then I created several more “commercial” art pieces with this fall decor on my Zazzle shop
Took a lot of time and effort; but the results are impressive:
and the list is going on and on! I think I used up all my creativity here ;0)
Full blown Thanksgiving Fall Theme is right HERE
One young music composer that I’ve recently met online told me that she likes my slogan: Live To Create! I told her that this very true; and even the slogan is not said by me originally; I really do love and live to create, am I not ? :0)

My Impressionistic landscape became a background for a still life with Pumpkin and its Company. In this painting I have married Realism and Impressionism and Still Life with Landscape. The colors on the window repeat the colors in the landscape, and that what Miss Fall is sharing with us: the bounty of the colors :0).

I feel spoiled as I am only cooking and cleaning here.. but I did have a chance to help painting the windows and doors too :0)
