The hazy cool morning in Alameda Crab Cove grew later into a lovely sunny day; but in my painting I wanted to pick up the beginning of the day when the bird is thinking of its breakfast, the tide is getting lower, and the wind surfers on the background just started setting up their sails for an active weekend fun.

And here the report from my fellow artists and their arts. It was great to be with the group of them to discuss our art works, laugh, share, and inspire each other:

  1. Oh, Ann! it is hard to overdo the painting when painting outside and limited with only 3 hours.. I have to remind myself to stay loose..but sometimes still get lost in the details :0)
    Thank you for your comment!

  2. Hi Kathryn,

Thank you so much for the compliment.I am using 300lb and 140lb…Arches pads are so convenient as you don't have to stretch them.. and outside it is extremely important to have comfortable things.. I appreciate convenience very much. No time to think about “bleeds” and other stuff..

    Cheers!
