Here are two Iris flowers: one Yellow from my front porch and another one Purple from my back yard. I thought it was difficult to paint the yellow one, but somehow the yellow flower turned out to be the easiest. But purple iris really made me think: how many colors in one purple iris? I discovered that pallet of this flower is so diverse so not expected: alizarin crimson, ultramarine, opera rose, sepia, and a little bit violet. Go figure!

  2. Hello Irina!

Thank you for visiting my blog… and for your kind comments.

So glad you visited… because I then was able to visit your blog… and what a treat! Such gorgeous flowers… wow! I love your watercolor style!

Like your name too… never actually met anyone named Irina. Made me think of the Russian Olympic ice skater.. Irina Rodnina (spelling?)… I used to love to watch the ice skating during the Winter Olympics!
